In order to obtain a clearer understanding of the possibilities I could achieve if choosing Skin for the theme of my Project, I drew out a Mindmap. I though of all the possible ideas, paths and solutions I could take with 'Skin' as the main focus, Lots of ideas and sub-themes came to mind straight away, such as; the diversity of colour, texture, shape and size of Human skin. Skincare, products, abnormalities and imperfections, are also other possibilities. 'Skin' holds alot of potential for my theme, there are definately areas within it that would be very interesting and enjoyable to explore and research into further. Areas like the different types of skin; in regards to texture and colour. A few recurring questions I kept encountering as well were 'What makes everyone Unique?' 'What is Normal?'. These questions bring to mind the similarities and differences between everyone, and how people in general strive to fit in and strive for the 'perfect' look. This theme brings alot of questions to mind, which makes me want to look into it more!
